Qualified, BACP-registered therapist in central London, Sidcup and Bexley

As well as having a private practice, I have clinical experience in a number of therapeutic settings.  I have volunteered for a national mental health charity, providing crisis counselling and long-term counselling. I have provided counselling services at a GP referral service,  a London university and for a performing arts college.  I have worked with secondary school pupils as both a mentor and as a counsellor, providing short-term counselling.

More recently, I have lectured in counselling theory and skills at a London university.

  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (2-day course)
  • Working with Relational Trauma: Dealing with Disorganised Attachment
  • Trauma and the Body
  • Introduction to Eating Disorders
  • Introductory Safeguarding for Adults
  • Introductory Safeguarding for Children

I have studied at the University of Greenwich for six years in total, firstly gaining a BSc degree in Psychology and Counselling, with First Class Honours.  Subsequently, I gained a MSc degree in Therapeutic Counselling, with distinction.

The three-year, BACP-accredited MSc course is an integrative course.  The duration of the course allowed the in-depth study of a number of different theoretical perspectives.  All of this essentially means that I am able to use different ways to understand your behaviours, thoughts and feelings and to help you to move forward in your life with more comfort, calmness and confidence; the approach is unique to you.

Professional Membership

As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.  The register is approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.

I take care to work professionally, so make use of regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.
